A Warm Celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival

As the old saying goes, people would miss their loved ones more in festivals. As the mid-autumn festival approaches, representatives of Capital Hotel and its owner visited “Home for the Senior Citizen” of Shijingshan District and Special Education School of Dongcheng District, to celebrate festival of reunion with the senior citizens and children there.
It had been the sixth time since our first visit to “Home for the Senior Citizen” of Shijingshan District in 2009. When they received the prepared exquisite presents including mooncakes, radios and cell phones designed for senior citizens, the elderly were so overwhelmed by excitement and gratitude that words failed them. Then both our representatives and Art Troup of the Elderly performed excellent singing and dancing during this activity.
The theme of our visit to Special Education School of Dongcheng District was designed as “Hold Our Hands and Light Our Dreams”. Kitchen wares and stationeries were selected as presents to the students there. Chef from our hotel taught students how to make cakes hand by hand and we also enjoyed the performances of the disabled children. In the end, both the children and our representatives colored our hands with various paints and draw together the “Tree of Hope”, which was the symbol of this activity.
Besides, the rental sum of bicycles from “Bicycle Tour to Explore the Beauty of the Capital City” was donated to Special Education School of Dongcheng District as well.
This visit showed our consistent adherence to Core Socialist Values and our persistent efforts to realize our goal of “common prosperity and dedicated loyalty” to the society, in that caring the vulnerable groups and carrying the social responsibilities is the solemn commitment we have made to the whole society.
